Hook:  size 4mm or Hook appropriate for yarn

Row 1. Ch 11. 

Row 2. 1 dc in 4th ch from hook.  1 dc in next 6 ch. 8 dc in last ch. 1 dc in next 6 ch.  7 dc in last ch.  Join with sl st In 1st dc in the round.

Row 3. Ch 2. ( does not count as first st). 2 dc in base of ch2. 1 dc in next 6 sts. 2 dc in each of next 8 st. 1 dc in next 6 sts. 2 dc in each of next 7 sts.  Join with sl st in 1st dc in the round.

Row 4. Ch 2. (does not count as a st). 1 bpdc in next 44 dc. Join with sl st in 1st dc in the round.

Do not join at the end of each round hereafter. Instead, mark the start, so you know when the round ends.

Row 5.  1 sc in the next 7 stitches. 1 dc2tog 8 times.  1sc in next 20 st.
